I have a couple of site with free hosting champion. my sites never went down. control panel is a match with paid hosting. thing I like most is they claim 10 gb space and 100 gb traffic and gives the same. they are better than some unlimited hosts claiming unlimited and unlimited and then apply fair use , conditions and baits. This. Is. Awesome! The control panel proves to be a slight learning curve (I`m used to cPanel) but the access it allows to the inter-workings of the server is amazing. My Chrome Speed Test (SEO Plugin for Chrome) says my site loads in 0.03s which is just crazy for a free hosting provider (my site is wordpress). There are a lot of features I didn`t know a hosting provider could offer without a dedicated or virtual dedicated server -- WebDAV access and Subversion Repositories?!?!? It works too! They have me limited to 10 repositories, which is reasonable I think. If you read their statement, the signup process is an absolute breeze. They didn`t ask for too much information, much less than I thought, though there is a warning that if you are using a proxy they may ask for a photocopy of an ID, also if you want SSH access to the server, you have to provide a photocopy of your ID. I`m still waiting for them to activate my SSH access, but in fairness, its only been a few hours. The only downside I can think of here is their firewall -- it seems to be a wee bit overzealous. I`ve already been blocked for 5 mins (from their ENTIRE network because when I tried to go to their customer service site, I got the We have detected a hacking attempt by your IP... blah, blah, blah ) for entering my hosting password wrong three times. But it was only 5mins and I can appreciate the extra security. This is a jewel you do >> NOT << want to pass up. Unless they change something, I`ll stake my personal reputation on it. **BTW, before I could hit submit, my SSH access was approved, the server I`m on has 16 logical processors and 32GB RAM and I`ve been downloading at a steady 50Mbps (my ISPs max). I use Doteasy as a free hosting service. The only cost is domain name registration and renewal. I find their customer support second to none. Any questions I have are answered promptly and helpfully. An added bonus is that there are no banners or advertising appearing on my site. Their free web site creator is fairly simple to use . But you can also create your own pages outside of doteasy and FTP them to their server. I am pleased with the templates and layouts offered and my site is very clear and uncluttered. The only feature lacking is the inability to define the page title within the website creator. That has to be coded at the source. However, I have hopes that this can become an added feature in the future. Doteasy Review

I am retired and can not afford an expensive hosting service and Doteasy supplied a good sized web space for only registering my Domain name. They have many upgrade options for those who need additional features for private and commercial sites. Their upload and down load speeds are good and they are accessable for any necessary contacts.
