Comments: I have several host and domain companies that I use and am very happy with. hostgator, dotster, ect. 1and1 I am not happy with at all. They are easy to get into but very difficult and time consuming to close business with. It seems they do their best to get at least one more payment from you. They allow you to close your account and then you find out AFTER receiving an invoice you still had a renewal agreement and the account is separate. And then this renewal is non-refundable and yes, they will take you to collections for any amount. It`s really not worth the low cost of domains to use them for anything. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Comments: We (signatureLinemediaDOTcom) just canceled our contract with 1&1 internet ... they could not fix the simplest problem and it seemed no matter what you asked or when you asked you were directed to email this department or call this number. Great packages ... weird control panels ... lousy service. I could not in good faith recommend someone like that. All we wanted was a Windoze server for some projects we have ... their front end ... if you don`t pay attention (ok it was me) goes straight to Linux ... at no time does it ask you which type of server do you want. In trying to fix this ... the only option they gave us when we were able to get an answer was If you switch servers now you will loose your 90 day money back ... given the support up to that point, we felt our safest action was to cancel. Comments: Horrible service! The service is very user unfriendly. I had it for two years and never got my site to work the way that I wanted it. They charged my credit card automatically, and when that expired, they wanted new information, and I told them to cancel the service. They then demanded money and told me that I would be referred to a collection agency. I told them to cancel the service and they did that. Now two months later, I was contacted by a collection agency to collect ONE MONTH service charge plus late fee. They never even told me that amount was due. Very vindictive and after every buck they can get. Beware....
