Host Name: HostMonster Comments: I have been with HostMonster for over a year now, having previously transferred over from a very incompetent hosting company, and I have been satisfied so far. The customer service when you call or use live chat is good quality, but their support forum (*not owned and operated by HostMonster themselves, but by someone else) is horrible. I was having issues with my service and politely asked if anyone else was and my post was deleted for no reason. Rude in my opinion. But HostMonster the company is wonderful. Fast service, friendly staff, too many unexplained outages lately though. Overall, it is a best hosting company out there. Go with anyone else and you`ll waste your money.

Host Name: HostMonster Comments: I give Host Monster 5 THUMBS UP!! I signed up for a two-year plan from HostMonster for an amazing low price of $4.95 (during a special they were having). I consider myself a designer, having been in the business over 25 years and by no means a techie . I know nothing save XHTML and CSS. With that said, I found that once I signed up - it was all gravy from there. The control panel is very easy to use and understand and at the end of my first day on Host Monster, I had transferred five sites over including my own, set up email addresses and created forwards and a lot more! I had a few questions initially and shot off a ticket to tech support. Within MINUTES - yes, I said MINUTES, I had a reply back from tech support. I did my research before choosing Host Monster and visited many webmaster boards and asked advice. I could not find one person that had anything bad to say about Host Monster. In fact, all I heard was raves. Well, now I`m convinced. Host Monster is the best thing going for affordable shared web hosting.

Host Name: HostMonster Comments: Hostmonster promises unlimited disk space but what they DON T tell you is that they limit the number of files you can have on the server. On the newer servers the limit is 50K - sounds like a lot - but not if you are using an application (like gallery - which I really like) that uses LOTS of small files to index/store your data. Was never told of the policy till my account locked up - found tech support to be uneven, uninformed and confused. |
